Want an Emporia Level 2 EV Charger but your home doesn’t have the electrical capacity? With Emporia EV Charger with Load Management, you can install Emporia's award-winning Level 2 EV Charger without the headache of costly electrical service upgrades, all while adhering to the National Electric Code standards. Empower your home, stay within code, and enjoy cost-effective EV charging with Emporia's innovative Load Management.
Under National Electric Code, NFPA 70, 625.42 and 750.30, an Energy Management System, such as the Emporia Vue, can provide Load Management of an EVSE, which allows the maximum EVSE load on a service or feeder to be set dynamically by the EMS. This allows the sum of the breakers to exceed the panel service rating when installing an EVSE, avoiding expensive and time consuming electrical service upgrades. Check out the FAQs

"Load management is a game changer. Without it, I'd have to install a device to shed load if my usage hit 100 Amps ($2K-$3K). The alternative would be a service upgrade to 200 Amps, requiring a complete electrical panel replacement. The estimate was in excess of $4000."
"Just did a test by turning on 30A of baseboard heat, my electric dryer, and my oven, while charging my EV, and it successfully curtailed the EV charging (normally 48A) to keep the main under 80A on my 100A main panel. This is awesome!!!"
