Almost any PG&E customer can connect the Emporia Vue: Utility Connect to their PG&E Smart Meter. Ensure you are eligible before purchasing a Vue. Login to your My Energy account at pge.com. Click “Stream My Data” toward the bottom of the page.
How to connect to PG&E for rate plans E1, E6, EVA, A1, A6 or A10
- From the Stream My Data dashboard you will be able to see if you have an eligible meter by entering your account and address. You meter should appear in a list toward the bottom of the page. If your smart meter is not eligible, please contact PG&E at streamMyData@pge.com or call 1-877-743-4357.
- Click the “Register New Device” link located under your meter badge ID on the Stream My Data dashboard
- Enter the following data:
- Name: Unique name of your choice
- Make & Model: Other
- Manufacturer: Emporia
- Model: Vue
- Device Type: In-Premise Display
- MAC ID and Install Code: Located on the Vue and the inside lid of the Vue packaging.
- Your Vue should now be connected, showing real-time data in the Emporia app. If the device does not successfully pair the first time, try again later or call 1-877-743-4357
How to connect to PG&E for rate plans ETOU-A or ETOU-B
(or if your meter is not listed in the web portal)
Call Stream My Data Customer Support at 1-877-743-4357 (Mon.-Fri. 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.) so that a representative can assist you with registering and pairing your device to your SmartMeter™. When calling, you will need to be present at the location where you would like your device to be paired, and prepared to provide the following information:
- Device MAC Address (16-digits) Located on the Vue and the inside lid of the Vue packaging.
- Installation Code (16-digits): Located on the Vue and the inside lid of the Vue packaging.

How to connect to SCE
- Go to the SCE HAN Device Registration Form at https://crt.sce.com/home_area_network
- Enter your 10-digit SCE account number that starts with a 8.
- Enter the First and Last Name on the account.
- Enter the Address of the SCE Meter.
- Enter your Email Address.
- Enter the Device ID (MAC Address) Located on the Vue and the inside lid of the Vue packaging.
- Enter the Install Code: Located on the Vue and the inside lid of the Vue packaging.
- Enter the Manufacturer: Emporia
- Enter the Model: Vue
- There the Device Type: USB Dongle
- Check the box to Accept the Terms and Conditions
- Then, click Submit.
- You’ll receive a confirmation message for your request. It can take up to 72 hours to complete the process.

Illinois
Ameren customers should be able to connect the Emporia Vue: Utility Connect to their Ameren Smart Meters. Before purchasing a Vue, contact the Ameren Digital Customer Care Team at 877-263-7361 to ensure your Smart Meter is compatible.
How to connect to Ameren
- Plug in your Vue: Utility Connect and set it up using the Emporia App
- Collect the MAC Address and Install Code numbers located on the Vue and the inside lid of the Vue packaging
- Make sure you have your Ameren account number
- Call the Ameren Digital Customer Care Team: 877-263-7361
- Provide the Ameren Digital Customer Care Team with your MAC Address and Install Code numbers
- Once the Ameren Digital Customer Care Team provisions your Smart Meter to your Vue, it should start streaming data. You may need to unplug the Vue for 5 seconds and plug it in again to reset it.
Almost any ComEd customer can connect the Emporia Vue: Utility Connect to their ComEd Smart Meter.
How to connect to ComEd:
- Find your ComEd Account Number from a ComEd Bill or the ComEd Website
- Collect the Device ID (MAC Address) and Install Code from the back of the Vue or the inside lid of the Vue packaging.
- Simply send an email to SMCDHelpDesk@ComEd.com with your Account Number, Device ID and Install Code and request a connection from your Vue to your AMI Smart Meter.

- Download and fill out the Ohio Edison HAN Provisioning Request Form with the information you collected above.

- Collect the MAC ID and Install Code located both on the back of the Vue and the inside lid of the Vue packaging.
- Go to the PPL HAN Monitor Sign Up page
- Enter your PPL username and password and click Sign In.
- Your meter number should be displayed
- Click the orange “Get In-Home Monitor” button
- Click “Register Device” on the top right
- Click the orange “I confirm the Above- Register Now” button
- Enter the following information into the provided fields

How to connect to Burlington Electric
- Collect the MAC ID and Install Code located on the Vue and the inside lid of the Vue packaging.
- Fill out the Contact Form on the Burlington Website.
- In the message field let them know that you would like to connect an Emporia Vue to your meter and included the MAC ID and install code.
- Don’t forget to enter your Customer ID
Almost any GMP customer can connect the Emporia Vue with ZigBee® to their GMP Smart Meter.
How to connect to GMP
- Collect the MAC ID and Install Code located on the Vue and the inside lid of the Vue packaging.
- Contact GMP along with your account details to connect your Emporia Vue with ZigBee® to your AMI Smart Meter.
Smart Meters Not Available
Emporia is working with many utilities who use ZigBee® Enabled Smart Meters that work with the The Emporia Vue: Utility Connect. If your state or province is not listed, your utility may not have AMI Smart Meters that currently support connection with The Emporia Vue: Utility Connect. If you believe that you have a ZigBee® enabled AMI Smart Meter, feel free to contact us or your electric company to see if they’ll allow a connection from the Emporia Vue. Otherwise, you still have an option!
